Before signing a rental contract, check the practice of the storage centre. Some of them require you to pay insurance while a simple extension of your housing contract is enough in 80% of cases. Others ask you to pay a processing fee or access fees for each entry. Be vigilant !
Our advice for the storage of your belongings
Cartoning 📦 : It is important to protect your belongings when you pack them in your boxes. Use bubble wrap to secure your belongings and a strong tape to close the boxes. Identify the contents of each box by writing on it, this will save you time in finding a case. Don’t forget to identify sensitive boxes by writing the word fragile and indicating the top and bottom directions.
Furniture protection 🛋 : Blankets should be provided to pack each piece of furniture. Or household appliance to protect them during transfer and storage. Think carefully about how to stack your furniture in the truck and in the storage box. Remember to keep a path in the centre of the box if you want to get some stuff. This will save you from having to empty the entire box in the corridor.
